Late barrage of goals lifts UConn past Boston College, 5-1
The Huskies were clinging to a one-goal into the final minutes of the third period when they blew the game open with three late goals.
With 3:50 remaining, UConn found itself clinging to a 2-1 lead over Boston College. The Huskies had gone ahead about two minutes into the third period but since then, they had been weathering a near-constant storm from the Eagles’ attack. At that point, the visitors were out-shooting UConn 16-5 in the third.
