Lines: UConn vs. Northeastern

UConn looks to pull off a Saturday split for the second weekend in a row.

UConn men’s hockey will take on Northeastern on Saturday at the XL Center. On Friday night at Matthews Arena, Northeastern earned a 3-1 victory — in large part thanks to a stellar performance by goaltender Devon Levi. According to the official stats, UConn put 61 shots on goal — though we were told that number may not have been completely accurate. The best estimate is Mike Cavanaugh’s squad’s shots on goal total was really “somewhere in the high 40s”.

Regardless, UConn desperately needs a regulation win on Saturday — just like last weekend.

• Sasha Teleguine replaces John Wojciechowski on the fourth line. Jake Veilleux moves from left wing to right wing.

• The Firstov-Kondelik-O’Neil line drops to second while the Gatcomb-Turnbull-Evans line jumps up a spot.
